Indigenous Australians and food safety

Help us fund our radio community service announcements designed by and for Indigenous Australians starting from Australian Food Safety Week 14-21 November 2020 until the end of January 2021. Help us close the gap in a practical way by donating here  Traditional methods of hunting and gathering had very good food safety. However, today rates of Salmonella infection are much higher among Indigenous Australians, especially in remote areas. Indigenous Australians are also more likely to have underlying health conditions like diabetes or kidney disease which can make a bout of food poisoning very dangerous.
